so, wifi finally came home, but if it came yesterday, would i’ve had the chance to work here?! both the #espresso and #cookie were #heaven, by the way. also, i reached the random 11,000 words milestone with book 3, and let me tell you, that #writing thing, by a window, with a #view.... not too shabby. not at all. it was a rather memorable workststation, shall I say. thank you @jumeirahgroup lobby bar staff for this short but incredibly sweet experience. ☕️♥️✨ #abudhabi #writersofinstagram #amwriting #book3 #workstation #jumeirah #lovingthis

and sometimes, you’re totally a tourist. and then you go to #EtihadTowers to work on regular stuff and then you are a tourist no more. i’d like to thank my new scarf for hiding the fact that I had no time to wash my hair in the morning, nor did I have access to dry shampoo, and the fact that it’s a really good #scarf. i’ll buy you a twin in a different color, scarf. also, i’d like to remind #abudhabi that it’s almost #WINTER. please refrain from your summer temperatures.

so, our wifi is down and i only have 3g, didn’t feel like finishing paintings, didn’t feel like online shopping on my phone (anymore...) so the only thing i could think of was to re-read my 9000 words of book 3 and see if i hate them. turns out, i created a perfect base for a development i wasn’t even planning. few are the joys such as overcoming #writersblock. i blame #abudhabi. who knew. #writing & #travel & #writersofinstagram walking between #palmtrees and #vacationing while #working, and working while vacationing. hey, at least both my city and this one have #louvre.

until today - interesting, yet uninspiring. after today - possibly inspiring. my characters don’t fit in here. but they can vacation. so, a week later, hello #abudhabi, hello #saadiyat

mixed emotions. i’m about to walk into @louvreabudhabi which is #exhilarating AND drinking the absolute worst #coffee in the history of the world. but the coffee part of the emotions was diminished when I FUCKING SAW A MONDRIAN IN PERSON FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE AND IT WAS AMAZING, AMAZING, AND I WANTED TO CRY, but I didn’t want to make a scene, so I just swallowed my #happy tears and swallowed some more when I saw a Miró nearby. thank you #louvre for existing and making my day and year, probably. i love you almost as much as i love the artists you have inside. #amazingday #abudhabi #louvreabudhabi #art #love
